Kimberley Akester

Kimberley has been a professional singer and singing teacher since graduating from Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 1991.

Her first job with the internationally acclaimed vocal group The Swingle Singers enabled her to travel the world, working with Chicago, Boston, Toronto and London Symphony orchestras as well as recording albums and appearing world-wide on radio and TV and numerous film soundtracks.

She has sung in many musicals and played the role of Carlotta in Phantom of the Opera in London’s West End and more recently sang at the 90 th birthday celebrations of HRH Queen Elizabeth at Windsor, England.

As a respected educator and vocal coach, Kimberley has taught voice for more than 20 years and specializes in leading drama and music workshops all over Europe. Kimberley is the owner of SITS, which provides theatre, dance and voice training to English speaking children between the ages of 6 and 16.

Since arriving in Sweden, she has worked with most of the leading international schools, giving workshops and running theatre shows together with the government initiative “Skapande Skola”.
